Harvey Mason's latest album, Pack Up Your Bags, is a delightful blend of jazz, funk, and soul. From the first track, "Dancing Paws," it's clear that Mason and his band are in top form. The grooves are tight, the melodies are catchy, and the solos are impressive.
One standout track is "The Chant," which features Mason's powerful drumming and a hypnotic bass line. The horns add a touch of Latin flavor, and the percussion section keeps things moving along nicely.
