He was the third Canadian to have a track enter the Billboard country music charts ("Happy to Be Unhappy in 1963). Co-founder of label in 1972. Founder of publishing companies , , and in 1972. Founder of label in 1974 (which he sold controlling interest in, along with the two publishing companies, to Quality Records Limited in 1976). Founded label in 1977. Founded in 1990. Buck served five terms as international director of the in Nashville, co-founded the and founded the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame, which inducted him in 2001. Born March 21, 1940 Thessalon, Ontario. Died October 14, 2003 in Didsbury, Alberta
