Review by Elizabeth Hawksworth

Funky Twist Going Back Home, the latest album by Earl Gilliam, is a testament to the artist's immense talent. With a blend of soulful melodies, funky beats, and bluesy vocals, Gilliam delivers an album that is both nostalgic and refreshing.

The album's opening track, "Going Back Home," sets the tone with its upbeat tempo and catchy chorus. Gilliam's vocals are smooth and effortless, and the accompanying horns and guitar riffs add a layer of funk that is impossible to resist.

As the album progresses, tracks like "Funky Twist" and "Soulful Strut" showcase Gilliam's ability to seamlessly blend different genres. The former features a catchy bassline and infectious rhythm, while the latter is a slow-burning ballad that highlights Gilliam's emotive vocals.

The album's standout track, however, is "Blues for My Baby." Gilliam's vocals are raw and gritty, perfectly capturing the pain and heartbreak of lost love. The song's bluesy guitar solo adds an extra layer of emotion, making it a standout moment on the album.
