Review by DOWNSOUTH

Brothers In Arms I Believe is a collaborative album by two iconic bands, Dire Straits and Tears For Fears. The album features some of their greatest hits, including "Money for Nothing," "Everybody Wants to Rule the World," and "Walk of Life."

The album is a perfect blend of rock and pop, with each band bringing their unique style and sound to the table. The guitar riffs and solos by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits are exceptional, while the vocals by Roland Orzabal of Tears For Fears are hauntingly beautiful.

The album is a perfect representation of the 80s music scene, and it's evident in the catchy tunes, lyrics, and overall vibe of the album. The songs are well-produced, and the sound quality is top-notch, making it a joy to listen to.

George Michael ripped this off for Kissing a Fool
This takes me back to June 1992 when I was 26. It was only through the "Tears Fall Down" greatest hits cassette I heard this. I had just broken up with a boyfriend weeks earlier. I just got off a bus and was walking to work in the Shadow Mountain area on a rainy monsoon morning in Phoenix.I am 56 this year. I survived two bouts with cancer and I found out that boyfriend passed away in 2010.
This has always been my favourite Tears for Fears song, that chord progression is just pure musical ecstasy for me! Love that jazzy feel too, it actually reminds me of Julee Cruise's collaborations with Angelo Badalamenti and David Lynch quite a bit in that aspect.
If you owned this album when it came out, you remember exactly where you were when you heard it for the first time.
What a masterpiece!! For no apparent reason this song and most of Tears for Fears songs give me nostalgia. Not anything specific just undeserved nostalgia as if I had a history with their songs. I guess it’s just the essence of timeless music.

song of a nightmare/lost parents
Esse som e top ?
Lyrics:

I believe
That when the hurting
And the pain has gone
We will be strong
Oh yes, we will be strong
And I believe
That if I'm crying
While I write these words
Is it absurd?
Or am I being real?
I believe
That if you knew just
What these tears were for?
They would just pour
Like every drop of rain
That's why I believe
It is too late
For anyone to believe
I believe
That if you thought for a moment
Took your time
You will not resign, resign
Resign yourself to your fate
And I believe
That if it's written in the stars
That's fine
I can't deny
That I'm a Virgo too
I believe
That if you're bristling
While you hear this song
I could be wrong
Or have I hit a nerve?
That's why I believe
it is too late for
anyone to believe
I believe
that maybe somewhere in the darkness
In the nighttime, in the storm
In the casino
Casino Spanish eyes
And I believe,
no I can't believe
that every time you hear a newborn scream
You just can't see the shaping of a life
The shaping of a life

This song is like pure love.
Memories of 1987 !
This beautiful and nostalgic song defines my broken life but still survives my desire to go on and look for a new horizon, not to turn back to just see what I left behind ...only ashes.

Amazing underrated song❤
Music this deep and soulful is rare.
Still here in 2020 and the song is amazing❤
Listening to this I picture its 1987. I'm in a beach house off Martha's Vineyard on a rainy evening. I've got a beautiful woman and a few bottles of red wine.
Wanted to listen to this cause I read it was originally dedicated to my favorite drummer, Robert wyatt. Maybe I'm stupid but I feel like I can hear the inspiration from wyatt in this track
Good song for now. Great songs always are. Thanks.
This album, and all it's great songs, reminds me of late '85, Yokosuka, Japan...a buddy and I at the 109 House on the "honch" sipping tequila. Great times, great music.

This song is a "star gate" at ground level, where an alley opens up in some city of feelings..
