Suspiria De Profundis by Die Form is a haunting and captivating album that takes listeners on a journey through the depths of the human psyche. The French duo, Philippe Fichot and Eliane P., have created a rich soundscape of electronic music that is both eerie and beautiful.
The album's title, which translates to "sighs from the depths," is an apt description of the music contained within. From the opening track "Nocturnal Emotions" to the closing "Narcisse," the album is filled with atmospheric soundscapes, pulsating beats, and haunting vocals.
Die Form's use of electronic instrumentation is masterful, with each track carefully crafted to create a specific mood or emotion. The use of synthesizers, drum machines, and samples creates a sense of unease and tension that runs throughout the album.
The vocals are equally impressive, with Eliane P.'s ethereal voice floating above the music like a ghostly apparition. Her lyrics are often dark and introspective, exploring themes of love, death, and the human condition.
