Dickie Goodman - Radio Russia

Review by Josep Daniel Climent

Radio Russia is a satirical album by Dickie Goodman that takes a swipe at the Cold War and the Soviet Union. The album is a collection of humorous skits and songs that poke fun at the political tensions of the time. The album is notable for its use of samples from news broadcasts and speeches by political figures, which are woven into the songs to create a humorous and irreverent commentary on the state of international relations.

The album opens with the title track, which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its catchy beat and witty lyrics. Other standout tracks include "The Flying Saucer Goes to Russia," which imagines what would happen if an alien spacecraft landed in Moscow, and "The Soviet Twist," a parody of the popular dance craze.
