Dean Wareham's self-titled album is a refreshing and captivating addition to his already impressive discography. The album showcases Wareham's signature dreamy and atmospheric sound, with his hazy vocals and intricate guitar work taking center stage.
From the opening track "The Dancer Disappears" to the closing "Happy & Free," the album takes listeners on a journey through Wareham's introspective and poetic lyrics. The standout track, "Love Is Not a Roof Against the Rain," features a haunting melody that perfectly complements Wareham's melancholic lyrics.

This is good old Dean of Galaxie 500/Luna/Dean and Britta fame albeit on a lonely path of his own now, since this is his first solo album in a career that started almost three decades ago. Sweetly melancholic, psychedelic and soothing, classy and a classic.
