Dave Dudley - Six Days On The Road

Review by Martina Schlager

Six Days On The Road by Dave Dudley is a classic country album that showcases Dudley's unique style and powerful vocals. The album features twelve tracks, each one telling a story of life on the road and the struggles that come with it. From the title track, which is a classic trucker anthem, to the heartfelt ballad "Last Day in the Mines," Dudley's storytelling abilities are on full display.

The album's standout track is undoubtedly "Truck Drivin' Son-of-a-Gun," which has become a staple of classic country radio. The song's driving rhythm and catchy chorus make it impossible not to tap your foot along with the beat. Another highlight is "Two Six Packs Away," a song about drowning your sorrows in alcohol that is both catchy and poignant.

I love this song for many reasons. A. #1 reason is that it begins with a mention of Pittsburgh!! B. the nostalgic '50s guitar twang thang.... C. the whole vibe is just so great,..... a story of REAL, blue-collar, working men -- REPRESENT!!! D. the fact that these guys would have voted Trump in a heartbeat and said FYVM to the left!!
I’ll be Bandit One,, and you’ll be Bandit Two, with this two way radio we can dodge all the speed traps for smooth sailing all the way.
