Review by ShangFu Chiang

The album Sir Georg Solti Ravel Bolero/Debussy La Mer Prélude À LAprès Midi DUn Faune by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra is an impressive collection of classical music. The orchestra's performance is impeccable, and the conductor, Sir Georg Solti, brings out the best in every piece.

The album features two of the most famous works of French composer Maurice Ravel: Bolero and Debussy's La Mer. The orchestra's rendition of Bolero is particularly noteworthy, with its gradual build-up of intensity and dramatic climax. The La Mer is also a standout, with the orchestra capturing the piece's evocative and atmospheric qualities.

The album also includes Debussy's Prélude À LAprès Midi DUn Faune, a dreamy and sensuous piece that showcases the orchestra's ability to convey mood and emotion.

Thanks for your time and sharing.
Fun Fact: Nintendo was originally going to use this as the main theme for Zelda 1, but realized it wasn't public domain yet, so Koji Kondo pulled an all nighter and took many aspects from the field theme and turned it into the main theme.
I like how its soft in the beginning and then it gets hard in the middle and harder near the end
It's kinda funny how The Legend of Zelda was originally going to use this song for it's main theme.
I first heard Ravel's Bolero when I was 14. I was mesmerized and still get goosebumps when I hear it! What a magnificent composer! Thank you for giving me your gift to cherish.
