- Following on from the massive success of #1 single Call My Name, Cheryl releases her new single 'Under The Sun' on September 3rd. Under The Sun is the sound of the summer, co-written by Cheryl and Alex Da Kid, who also produced the record and has produced global hits such as BOB's 'Airplane' and Eminem's 'Love The Way You Lie'. Under The Sun is taken from Cheryl's recently released album 'A Million Lights' which hit #2 when it was released last month. It followed the record-breaking sales of 'Call My Name' which became the fastest selling single of the year so far when it sold 152,000 copies in one week. Once again the video -which is due to premiere on 23rd July - is directed by Anthony Mandler, who sets the video in a world from a different era where things aren't always as they seem. Since Cheryl first came to prominence as a member of Girls Aloud 10 years ago, she has gone on to sell over 10 million records. Her debut solo single 'Fight For This Love' went to number 1 in 10 countries. Both solo albums '3 Words' and 'Messy Little Raindrop's claimed the number one spot. She has collaborated with a diverse list of artists ranging from Dizzee Rascal to Snow Patrol. Having performed as a special guest on the Black Eyed Peas arena tour in 2010 and now with three albums worth of material under her belt, Cheryl heads out on her first headline solo tour this autumn, playing 11 dates at venues across the UK including London's London's O2 Arena (on 7th October) and her hometown of Newcastle. Due to popular demand the tour has already had to be extended by an extra night as tickets for some venues sold out 30 minutes after release."
