About Cat Stevens
British singer/songwriter, born Steven Demetre Georgiou in London on July 21, 1948. His musical career was interrupted in 1969 when he contracted tuberculosis.
Stevens converted to Islam in 1977, adopting the name Yusuf Islam the following year. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2014.

I heard this song in 1993.
Love this. I haven’t yet reconciled Cat then and Cat now.
1972..I was 15. Met Ron, 21, just came home from Vietnam..my first everything! We had a summer…but I was too young.. had to go back to high school! My parents never knew.. it wouldn’t work.. he left me this song! I cherish it! ❤ love you Ron DelSignore.. 5o years later! I will never forget you!

I have three grown daughters. All three smart, successful, and beautiful women, but like he says, I will always remember them like a child. Funny some of things that can bring a tear to my eye as I get older. This song is one of them.

Holy moly he wrote this? I had heard this song many times. Probably many covers but I now found the original a long with "Father and Son". What a magnificent artist. I'm gonna listen to the whole album.
