Review by Jose De Almeida Batista

Calories Blah Blah's self-titled album is a masterpiece of indie rock. The band's sound is refreshingly unique, blending elements of punk, garage rock, and post-punk to create something entirely their own. The album is a high-energy romp through eleven tracks of catchy hooks, driving rhythms, and clever lyrics.

From the opening track "Falling Apart" to the closing "Goodbye", Calories Blah Blah delivers a consistent and cohesive sound. The band's tight musicianship and strong songwriting are on full display throughout the album. Highlights include the infectious "Dance Dance Dance", the anthemic "Sick of It All", and the haunting "Ghosts".

Lead singer/guitarist Sarah's vocals are a standout feature of the album. Her voice is both powerful and emotive, perfectly complementing the band's driving instrumentation. The album's production is also top-notch, giving each instrument its own space without sacrificing the overall energy and intensity of the music.
