Notes

Portuguese singing electro goth something... Minimal dark grooves with a touch of old school synthpop, EBM and postpunk. Very poetic and dramatic lyrics, with a bunch of ironic criticism and even political flavours...

About Broto Verbo

Broto Verbo is the a musical adventure of Carlos Matos, a member of Ode Filípica (1989-1994) - one of the Portuguese industrial music band pioneers. Working in several both musical and performative total underground acts like Plebe Sindicatum, C&C Corporation, Clínica do Medo, The Sixth Sense Disease, Circo Errechis Céptico or Plaztik Leiria Bomberz and releasing/publishing under the name of Berço Estandarte (his occult id for years...), Carlos Matos is now making his most "songwriting" approach, since he began doing music back in 1987. Broto Verbo (native expression for "Sprout Word") aims to join the post punk/goth/electro/indie musical balance and spirit with the poetic lyricism of the Portuguese powerful lexicon abundance and richness.
