With Windows Movie Maker, assuming your music is on your computer, you import the song into Windows Movie maker, then you import the picture into Movie Maker, drag both to the appropriate places on the bottom, and then you will be on your way
Windows Movie Maker is what I use. It comes with Vista, not sure if it comes with XP. First step is to get the song on to your computer as a digital file, if you have a turntable with a headphone jack, use an RCA plug from your turntable to the computer (there should be an open slot). What I did was bought an ION turntable from Radio Shack, which works in conjunction with ITUNES, which also allows you to use a USB cord
