I came across this song back in 2006 and it captured my heart. The feeling and meaning of this song and it's performance are both beautiful and haunting. My Mother passed away recently and 2 songs came to mind, this was one of them. Thank You Vincent for posting and Beth for sharing her talent and loss. Peace :)

Glad you enjoyed it. I remember the night she performed this in a Dublin venue called Whelan, I could hardly hold the camera steady, the song evoked such emotions. Now 6 years later, my own daughter will launch her first CD from the same stage, Whelan's Wexford Street. Isn't life strange :-))

I had never heard this until an episode of ER contained it. The episode dealth with Abby and a newborn who had died-they went to the roof of County General and had the baby baptized.

Don't think anyone's returned from the other side since Kathy Earnshaw, so I don't go too much on the religious stuff. My advice is stick around, enjoy this inspiring song and and don't dwell too much on mortality. 'All the time in the world' from the same album recommended if you want something more upbeat.
