Review by Mark Sansom

The album "The Base" by Base Graffiti is a unique and captivating blend of hip-hop, funk, and soul. The production is smooth and polished, with a focus on crisp beats and catchy melodies. The lyrics are thought-provoking and introspective, exploring themes of self-discovery, social justice, and personal growth.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Lyrical Artistry," which showcases Base Graffiti's impressive flow and wordplay. The song is an ode to the power of hip-hop as a form of artistic expression and activism. Another standout track is "Revolution," which features a funky bassline and a powerful chorus that encourages listeners to stand up against injustice and oppression.

About Base Graffiti

Dom is undoubtedly one of the most popular & respected producers in the Hard House /NRG arena. Over the years, he has been involved with a great number of classic tracks & remixes produced under various pseudonyms, most notably his alias & the longstanding partnership with as . Dom and Oz met whilst DJ'ing at gigs in Brighton during the mid 90's. They had similar tastes and both were interested in dabbling with music production, so they acquired some studio equipment and started crafting their art. Very few labels were initially interested and the duo later launched in '97 as a platform for their music. Dom developed a preference for the studio and has since featured original productions & remixes in a variety of styles on every prominent label within the scene. Apart from his partnership in Kaktai Records, Dom also runs the Hard House / NRG label, & which was an outlet for his Funky Hard House. Since mid 2004, Dom has managed to escape Studio 404 long enough for a few very select DJ appearances as well as OD404 Live shows with Oz.
