Review by Alex

Alhaji K Frimpong's album Abrabo is a must-listen for fans of West African highlife music. The album, which was released in 1976, features Frimpong's signature blend of traditional African rhythms and modern instrumentation.

The album opens with the upbeat and catchy "Ahyewa," which sets the tone for the rest of the record. Frimpong's smooth vocals are accompanied by a lively horn section, creating a vibrant and joyous sound.

Tracks like "Kyenkyen Bi Adi Mawu" and "Abrabo" showcase Frimpong's virtuosic guitar playing, with intricate solos and melodic riffs that add depth and complexity to the music.

One of the standout tracks on the album is the soulful "Gyae Su," which features a beautiful call-and-response between Frimpong and his backup singers. The song is a testament to Frimpong's ability to infuse traditional African music with elements of American soul and funk.
