Agiel - Dark Pantheons

Review by Matt Gambrell

The album Dark Pantheons by Agiel is a stunning display of technical proficiency and atmospheric black metal. The band's ability to weave complex guitar riffs, intricate drum patterns, and haunting keyboard melodies together is nothing short of impressive.

From the opening track, "The Awakening," the listener is plunged headfirst into a world of dark, foreboding soundscapes. The vocals, which alternate between guttural growls and soaring clean choruses, add an extra layer of intensity to the music.

One standout track is "Crown of Fire," which features a blistering guitar solo and a driving rhythm section. The song's anthemic chorus is sure to get stuck in the listener's head long after the album has ended.

Comments

dude. this is fucking awesome
New drummer can blast but his double bass speed is not up on par with Yeung's. He's doing triplets all the time instead of full 16ths. Other than that, it's an interesting take a-la Fleshgod Apocalypse of the old songs.
Dimmu Borgir with more death metalish black metal rasp . That's all it is not bad though, kinda what the burning process does for the new England metal scene. I like it. The guitar riffs a slight different here and there not much but its clearly shows for even an original band its a dimmu rip off.
I don't know the old style of the band, but this "redo" is fantastic.
Master piece!
Wtf! Old agiel is much better
We are a completely different band from back in 2002 when the original album was released.  We got back together as a band at the end of 2012 and decided to redo some of the older songs with a more modern feel and with the new current direction to get some new material out as soon as possible.  As for the recording and the quality, we did this all ourselves as a band on a very cheap budget.  Please feel free to make any comments good or bad.  We have been working all of 2014 on a brand new full length album of 12 new songs.  It is going to be one of the best extreme metal albums of 2015.
