About A Strength Within

A STRENGTH WITHIN originates from Leuven, Belgium and is known for its fast and pissed-off live performances. They formed early 2009 and draw influences from bands such as No Turning Back, Guns Up!, No Warning and Terror. Mid Januari 2010 they released a first EP called Never Lose Sight on the Austrian label Burning Season Records. In support of this album, the band then set out on a first self-booked European tour in July 2010. Early 2011 they entered the studio for the recording of a new album. Still Searching was picked up a few months later by Perspective Records in Belgium (released as a 73 EP) while the CD version was released by Thailands Holding On Records (No Turning Back). Theyve toured SE-Asia in May 2011 (Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia), what made them the first Belgian (hardcore)band that played shows in this part of the world. In 2012 they were on the road for a total of 6 weeks and they played some selected dates inside the Russian Federation and a show on the wel known Ieperfest. Begin October 2012 they where also part of the European No Turning Back (nl) release show tour with Singapore based Overthrown and in November 2013 they toured Europe during the second edition of the True Spirit tour with No Turning Back (nl), Anchor (swe) and Light It Up (de). The last few years theyve played over 100 shows in 30 countries (Europe, UK, Russia and SE-Asia) and shared the stage with bands like Terror (usa), Converge (usa), Ignite (usa), Evergreen Terrace (usa), Cruel Hand (usa), Expire (usa), Benchpress (usa), Crowbar (usa), Killing The Dream (usa), The Carrier (usa), Ruiner (usa), This Is Hell (usa), Death Before Dishonor (usa), Darkest Hour (usa), Reign Supreme (usa), Shai Hulud (usa), First Blood (usa), Naysayer (usa), Set Your Goals (usa), Defeater (usa), Down To Nothing (usa), Another Breath (usa), Deez Nuts (aus), 50 Lions (aus), Carpathian (aus), Relentless (aus), Maintain (usa), No Turning Back (nl), Dead Swans (uk), The Legacy (uk), More Than Life (uk), Hang The Bastard (uk) and many more&
